Our Story
It began with CEO G. P. Pattanaik’s dreams of tapping a huge opportunity for loan servicing of banks and other financial institutions in India through organized sector providing professional services through trained resources, technology and infrastructure. The retail loan segment was growing tremendously without corresponding infrastructure for loan servicing. Banks and NBFCs did not have enough manpower to service the fast growing loan segment, they were in dire need to find credible organisations who could cater to collection services.
So, after serving in the BFSI industry for 35 years, Mr. Pattanaik started this venture to fulfil this dream. In October 2014, he started VGM with a team of 125 professionals in Kolkata. Along with founding promoters and the directors and central operation head, who all had served more than 30 years in the industry and held several senior management positions in major companies, VGM journey began on a strong foundation.
By January 2015, VGM’s presence had expanded all over West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Today, the company is present in 25 states and has a total strength of 5,000+ professionals.
It is the result of the hard work of dedicated people at VGM that enabled consistent growth since the very beginning. For the first 5 years, an annual growth rate of 50% was achieved, which later increased to 60% in the last 3 years.

Meet Our Team
After 35 years in the FI industry and heading sales of ₹16,000 crore, Mr. Pattanaik founded and created VGM. As the Director and CEO of the company, he has guided the team of VGM toward growth and prosperity with his strategic road map planning, inspiration, and leadership.

Former CFO, CIO, CEO, and Director of several major NBFCs and overseas companies, Mr. Anjan Mitra has utilized 34 years of experience to lead the company towards growth & prosperity. His role in the strategic decision-making activities of VGM has been significant.

After 35 years of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Ashutosh Shukla, a qualified chartered accountant, is dedicated to the growth and expansion of VGM. He has worked with several major NBFCs in various senior positions and was formerly the head of sales & credit in the Saud Bahwan group in Muscat.

Mrs. Pattanaik handles business operations in several major states and at Kolkata’s BPO tele-calling centre. Her rich experience in banking and non-banking portfolio sales, collections, and recoveries has enabled her to excel at her work and lead this company toward growth.

After serving 27 years in the financial industry, Mr. Rajesh Singhania joined our team, bringing in his experience in accounting, audit, operations, MIS, and taxation. Being a qualified chartered accountant and the former finance controller at a leading NBFC, he now functions as the chief financial officer of the company.

Being an expert at managing sales and collections, Mr. Bhattacharya heads operations in some of the major states and operations at our BPO tele-calling facilities. His 25 years of experience in the finance sector has proven fruitful towards his work and contributions at VGM.

A post-graduate in Economics, a leader, a problem-solver, a decision maker, and a relationship manager, Ms. Patnaik has great experience in the BFSI sector, working with tele calling services and field operations. She heads our BPO tele-calling facility in Kolkata and operations in a few more states.
Santwana Patnaik
After 30 years of experience in the financial sector and working as the head of credit & collections at a leading automobiles group in Muscat, Oman, Mr. Rao now heads the business operations of VGM in the south. A Qualified Chartered Accountant by qualification , he oversees two of our major call centers and field operations in five states of South India. He is based in Bangalore.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – OPERATION
At the helm of our VGM Excellence Centre, we have Principal Mrs. Deepa Tandan who has rich experience of 23 years as Ex-Banker with HSBC & Deutsche Bank. She is a qualified Financial Advisor & also CAIIB, AMFI and IRDA Certified. Under her guidance we are developing various training programs for Sales, Marketing, Collection, Recovery, Soft Skills and Leadership.

Richa Bagaria (FCA, DISA) with 5 yrs of practice experience and 12 years of experience in financial services sector. Handles Commercial and MIS for Pan india. Maintains and build relationship with major clients of the organisation. Also engaged in payroll accounting. Raising invoices and debtor management also an integral job role.

A gold-medallist post-graduate in Human Resources, he has 23 years of experience in HR of varied industries (Engineering and Construction/ FMCG/ IT/ Hospitality). Mr. Debashish has previously managed six Technical Skills Training Institutes, contributing to Skilling through State Govt skill development schemes, generating 6000+ Placement opportunities, which is getting replicated here at VGM.
